Our Roots: The Founding of Green Way Gardening
Green Way Gardening was established in 1999 by Cheryl Conklin, a highly respected Master Gardener. For 21 successful years, Cheryl nurtured the company, building a reputation for expert garden care and sustainable practices. In 2020, she passed the torch to Leah and fellow professional gardener Jacquelyn Quinn, who managed the business for four years. During this time, Leah honed her skills, developing a deep appreciation for the artistry of gardening and a strong commitment to eco-friendly methods. Now the sole owner, Leah continues to uphold Green Way Gardening’s legacy, bringing passion and expertise to every project.

About Leah
Leah is a proud Colorado Springs local, raised on the westside, where her deep love for plants first took root. She holds an Associate’s degree from Pikes Peak State College and a Master Gardener’s Certificate from Colorado State University. Her gardening journey began while earning her certification as a Community Herbalist, and what started as a hobby soon blossomed into a full-fledged career. She’s dedicated to expanding her knowledge, continuing her education through courses in sustainable gardening and permaculture. An exceptionally skilled plantswoman, Leah has a knack for quickly diagnosing a garden’s needs and nurturing it to vibrant health. When she’s not tending to gardens or teaching, you’ll find her mountain biking, wildcrafting herbs, working in her personal vegetable garden, or simply soaking up the quiet beauty of nature.
